Homemade Chicken Tenders-Foods 2

IMG_7158Chick-Fil-A has some competition. Foods 2 class was frying up some tasty tenders while practicing safety and sanitation measures learned in ServSafe.

IMG_7159It was important to get the oil temperature just right. They tested it with a little flour watching it sizzle.

IMG_7160Some of the stoves cooked differently and the breading colors varied, but don’t they look tasty?

The girls agreed.

IMG_7167Taking the internal temperature of 165 was important.IMG_7165Hair nets are a must.

IMG_7166Plus your own side brought from home {macaroni}.

IMG_7169The guys had a carb fest with their tenders and a little hot wing sauce, now that’s a good idea.

IMG_7157Moya had an ouch moment with the oil, but a proud moment with  her first “perfectly fried tender.”

IMG_7170The Iron Chefs thought their meal was the best!

IMG_7168It was hard to judge who had the best tenders because they were scarfed down to fast with an assortment of dipping sauce. Foods 2 had a successful safety and sanitation foods lab!
